10 Fresh 2018 Acura X – Acura is the luxury vehicle marque of Japanese automaker Honda. The brand was launched in the USA and Canada in March 1986, advertising luxury, functionality, and high-performance vehicles. It had been introduced into Hong Kong in 1991, Mexico in 2004, China in 2006, Russia at 2014 and Kuwait in 2015, and is also sold in Ukraine. Honda’s plan to introduce Acura to the Japanese national market (JDM) in 2008 was postponed, due to economic reasons, and later withheld as a result of the 2008 fiscal catastrophe.
Acura retains the distinction of becoming the very first Japanese automotive luxury brand. The creation of Acura coincided with the introduction of a JDM Honda dealership revenue channel, called Honda Clio, that marketed luxury vehicles, joining previously established Honda Verno, followed closely by Honda Primo the following calendar year. In its first couple of years of life, Acura was one of the bestselling luxury marques in the united states. Even though sales were in the mid-to-late 1990s, the brand undergone a revival in the early 2000s, as a result of extreme redesigns and the openings of new versions.
Since Acura’s product line grew in the 1990s, but the business fought a bit. Some of its goods were duds, and it risked alienating loyal customers when it replaced both the Legend and Integra titles with alphanumeric designations. The company jumped onto the sexy luxury SUV bandwagon in the mid-’90s with all the SLX. Unfortunately, the SLX was just a rebadged version of an Isuzu SUV, also its own quality did not match customers’ expectations.
For the new millennium, Acura revamped its product scope. An all-new SUV known as the MDX debuted, sporting numerous family-friendly features, like a third-row chair. The Integra was substituted with the RSX sport coupe, along with an all-new entry sport sedan known as the TSX was introduced then. A complete redesign of its popular version, the midsize TL sedan, followed, as did a redesign of its flagship RL luxury sedan.
