10 Elegant 2018 Acura Tlx A Spec 0-60 – Acura is the luxury car marque of Japanese automaker Honda. The brand was launched in the United States and Canada in March 1986, marketing luxury, performance, and high performance vehicles. It was introduced into Hong Kong in 1991, Mexico in 2004, China in 2006, Russia at 2014 and Kuwait at 2015, and is also marketed in Ukraine. Honda’s strategy to present Acura into the Japanese domestic economy (JDM) in 2008 was postponed, because of economic reasons, also later withheld as a result of the 2008 financial crisis.
Acura holds the distinction of becoming the first Japanese automotive luxury brandnew. The production of Acura coincided with the coming of a JDM Honda dealership revenue channel, known as Honda Clio, that marketed luxury vehicles, linking formerly established Honda Verno, followed closely by Honda Primo the next calendar year. In its first few years of existence, Acura was among the best selling luxury marques in the US. Though sales were in the mid-to-late 1990s, the newest experienced a revival in the early 2000s, due to extreme redesigns and the introductions of new models.
As Acura’s product line grew in the 1990s, however, the company fought a bit. A number of its goods were duds, and it risked alienating loyal customers when it replaced both the Legend and Integra names with alphanumeric designations. The company jumped to the sexy luxury SUV bandwagon in the mid-’90s with all the SLX. Sad to say, the SLX was only a rebadged version of an Isuzu SUV, and also its own quality didn’t match customers’ expectations.
For the new millennium, Acura revamped its product range. An all-new SUV known as the MDX debuted, sporting numerous family-friendly characteristics, including a third-row seat. The Integra was replaced with the RSX sport coupe, and an all-new entry-level sport sedan known as the TSX was released after that. A comprehensive redesign of its most popular model, the midsize TL sedan, followed, as did a redesign of its flagship RL luxury sedan.
